The birth of  so called New music out of the ruins of Post-World-War-II-Germany still makes it different from nice easy listening music.

For the Music Talks at Cairo Centemporary Music Days 2017 Sherif El Razzaz asked me to talk about two of my favorite topics. One of them, of course, was Cage with his ideas for a better world. The other was my attempt to explain, why I think it to be all right that „New Music“ is as non-seductive as it is.
